Nov 26, Messages: What I’ve learned so far is that it helps to use a binaural processor like the DBX IEM that gives the mix a bit more air and a wider appearance. There doesn’t seem to be much of an alternative from other brands geared towards IEMs. DBX also stopped making the device.
AKG IVM4 – Wireless In-Ear Monitoring System H B&H
I’ve been watching eBay for an affordable used one, but the only ones I found are around bucks, which is a bit more than I expected. They seem to usually go for half of that price.
It’s hard to tell though if this is a professional wkg of gear like the Shure or if it’s just an overpriced toy. I have to haul and set up my gear myself.
So if I can have a 2-in-1 solution, that would be very handy. Icm the other hand, I would rather carry one device more if it makes a difference in overall sound – in other words: If anyone has experience with this, please let me know After spending quite some money on an AxeFxII, decent guitars, custom in-ears etc.
